| Description:
The Museum was founded in 1951 and contains pieces of Romanian
and European art paintings, graphics and decorative art. It
is hosted by a building from the 18th century , with a Baroque
architecture. When it was opened for the first time it benefied
by some collections: like metal work, furniture and the collection
known as "Pinacoteca Virgil Cioflec". Virgil Cioflec was the
author of some monographies dedicated to painters Stefan Luchian
and Nicolae Grigorescu. The artists are represented depending
on their works, revealing the characteristic aspects of the
multi-culture in Transylvania and the combination between
the Romanian and European art.
